In a few days a few of our Tec students from Davy Jones Locker are taking a break from island life. They will be heading over to the main land for a spot of cave exploration. We run a regular cave diving trip to the beautiful Khao Sok national park, which is about an hour south of Surathani. Deep in some of the worlds oldest rain forest is a lake 8 times the size of Koh Tao. It has an impressive network of cave and caverns both underwater and above the surface. You stay on some floating bungalows with only the sound of the jungle around you. It’s a very very unique experiance.
Cave Diver Training
The guys are going to complete both their TDI Cavern and TDI Intro to Cave course. This will take place over a week of intense (but fun) cave diver training. Some of the skills the guys will have to master is out of gas, lost line, team seperation and eqiupment loss, plus many many more. Cave diving is a great way to improve your diving skills as the emergancy drills thrown at you are some of the toughest in diving. It also gives you some great practice working with a team and also space awareness which is a very important skill for wreck and cave diving.
